WARNING: This Post Could Get Cheesy

It’s all over social media nowadays, this new craze that’s hitting the tea industry.  At first glance any aficionado would be taken aback, myself included, but then my sense of adventure kicked in.

I tried the cheese tea.

And it actually wasn’t that horrible, kinda like a tea-infused cheesecake.  A little too sweet for my tastes (in all fairness, I don’t have a sweet tooth at all…), but really flavorful and actually complimentary to the flavor of the tea!

Inspired (and not wanting to wait in a 45-minute line again), I set out to make it on my own.  Turned out pretty good!

Here’s my recipe:

CHEESE TEA TOPPING

1 cup heavy cream
¼ cup condensed milk
¼ cup cream cheese, softened to room temp (makes it easier to mix)
2 Tbsp confectioner’s sugar
½ tsp salt

In a stand mixer mixing bowl, add your condensed milk, heavy cream, cream cheese, salt and sugar, mix with stand mixer until soft peaks form. Pour on top of your favorite tea (I’d recommend a Matcha Latte or a cold-brewed Peachy Oolong).

Enjoy!
