The Future of Tea in 2018

With 2017 rapidly winding down, many food insiders are beginning to make their predictions for the year ahead.  The common themes among them seem to be naturalness, health and quality.  All of which, of course, bodes well for tea!

In fact, according to the BBC, 2018 will be a great year for tea, finally seeing its way into the spotlight right alongside coffee.  This will result in the proliferation of specialty tea shops popping up all over the place, spreading tea to the masses.

Whole Foods, likewise, says that floral is the new pumpkin spice.  Flavorings like rose (found in our Tropical Peony) and jasmine (ahem, Jasmine Dream) are forecasted to rise in popularity, as well as bright pink-infused beverages containing hibiscus (like our After Dark).

And what do these soothsayers think about the future of the currently trendy Matcha?  It’s not going anywhere!  In fact, it will become even more encompassing, finding its way into protein shakes, energy drinks and more.

Can’t wait for the new year!
