What better day to announce the release of my newest tea cocktail, the Irish Redhead, than St. Patrick’s Day?!
One sip of this intoxicatingly delicious, complexly flavored cocktail will surely bestow the luck of the Irish upon you, or at least leave your Irish eyes smilin’.
The Irish Redhead
2 oz. Irish Whiskey (recommended: Jameson)
3/4 oz. orange curacao
1/4 oz. sherry (fino, if possible)
1 dash of orange bitters
3 oz. Crimson Punch, chilled
Add first four ingredients to a mixing glass then add ice to mixing glass. Stir to chill and strain into a chilled martini glass. Slowly pour tea onto the back of a spoon held over the glass so it creates a layer floating on top.
