Looking for an end-of-the-summer tea cocktail that is both seasonal, refreshing and totally unique?
Well, not to beat you over the head with it, but the answer is right in front of your face: my newest tea cocktail, the Black & Blue.
The flavor of this black tea and blueberry infused cocktail will knock you out, and after your first sip you’ll be hurting for more!
Black & Blue
2 oz. gin
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
3/4 oz. black-blueberry syrup (see below)
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a fresh speared blueberry.
For the black-blueberry syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup Assam Finest, hot
1 cup fresh blueberries, lightly crushed
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until sugar dissolves. Let cool to room temperature. Strain into a clean glass bottle and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
