Just flip to any channel on the television this week and you’ll think America never revolted against Great Britain. That’s because of the great epidemic that is currently sweeping through our culture: Royal Wedding fever.
But have no fear, the cure is here! And to really rankle the Royal’s dickie bows, the aforementioned remedy uses traditionally English ingredients!
Sloe Grey Fizz
1 oz Plymouth Sloe Gin
3/4 oz Earl Grey Syrup (recipe follows)
3 oz tonic water
Shake Sloe gin and tea syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice, strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with tonic water and garnish with a lemon twist.
Earl Grey Syrup
6 oz (by weight) Earl Grey Reserve, hot
6 oz (by weight) sugar
Combine both ingredients in a bottle and shake until thoroughly incorporated, about 5 minutes.
