We all know that tea, in general, is good for you, but the more we learn about this plant, the more we know that it really depends on how you take it.
According to a new study, it would be wise to put down those pills and pick up a cup.
Researchers found that pills infused with green tea extract (especially diet pills, it seems) have been shown to be exponentially more potent than a cup of tea, which may sound beneficial – but, in fact, is potentially toxic for your liver. Too much of a good thing, it would seem.
To get the same effect from drinking tea, on the other hand, one would have to drink over 50 cups of tea per pill, a fairly impossible task.
So when it comes to tea, stay healthy – just steep it!
