If you’ve been avidly reading this blog as much as you should be, you know that Green tea has been infused into a lot of products, such as green tea cookies, cocktails, ice cream, cupcakes and even green tea spa facial masks. But who would’ve imagined that green tea could be made into paper?!
Well, my friends over at Ito En in Japan announced a few months ago that they are doing just that: making recyclable paper bags out of, among several raw materials, used tea leaves. This not only saves precious resources, thus sustaining our environment, but also finds a good use for the otherwise-trashed refuse.
So, as it turns out, tea is not only healthy for your body but also for your Earth.
I think my friend Al would agree: that is a convenient truth!
