We’ve heard numerous studies before mentioning the health benefits of tea and their effect on the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, but none have been as specific as this: a new study carried out by a team of Dutch researchers from the University Medical Centre in Utrecht showed that the intake of tea every day can reduce the risk of diabetes by almost half.
But they got even more specific: they found that any less than 3 cups of tea did not produce as high a risk reduction, and any more showed no significant difference either.
To reach the conclusion, researchers studied more than 40,000 people whose consumption was monitored for 10 years. And best of all, the study found no distinguishing difference between black, green or white tea – this means you can drink whatever you like (as long as it is 3 cups!) and still get the benefits!
So beat Diabetes – get steepin’!
